A Review of RE policies of Indian States

Landstack released a policy review across all 28 states highlighting how land is addressed in state RE policies. It reviews recent state policies focusing on the land dimensions of renewable energy (RE) policies, with particular attention to the clarity of land-related provisions for RE projects and their alignment with India’s broader goals of equitable and sustainable development

Renewable Energy Dashboard

Landstack also released a dashboard that brings together the key land dimensions reflected in state-level policies. The dashboard is designed to present, in a single view, the range of land typologies, procurement methods, valuation provisions for both private and government land, and the grievance redressal and compensation mechanisms outlined across states.

A Legal Review of Community Carbon Rights

This legal review on community carbon rights in India has been developed to analyse how India’s legal and regulatory landscape engages with carbon rights, especially concerning Indigenous and forest-dwelling communities. The review aims to highlight legal gaps and opportunities for reform to support a more equitable approach to nature-based carbon initiatives in India.
